Before You Book: 1:1 Complimentary Sessions

Carers Month is a community-led initiative hosted by The Healers Community Care Collective (HCCC). We provide a platform for independent practitioners, facilitators, and businesses to offer complimentary 1:1 sessions to unpaid carers during October 2026.

Carers Month and HCCC do not provide, deliver, organise, supervise, or manage the individual offerings listed on this website. Each offering is provided independently by the practitioner, facilitator, or business identified in the relevant listing.

1. One Free 1:1 Session Per Carer To give as many carers as possible the opportunity to participate, each carer may book a maximum of one (1) free 1:1 individual session listed through Carers Month during October 2026.

Please note:

  • Sessions fill quickly, and a directory listing does not guarantee an available appointment.

  • Once a practitioner's allocated 1:1 sessions are fully booked, no further free 1:1 sessions will be available for that listing.

  • You are welcome to attend as many open group experiences, workshops, dining offers, or community offers as you like!

2. Independent Providers & Direct Relationships All practitioners, facilitators, and businesses listed on Carers Month operate as independent providers. Bookings, appointments, and arrangements are made directly with the individual provider.

The individual provider is solely responsible for their own offering, including:

  • Their qualifications, training, registration, and professional memberships;

  • Maintaining appropriate public liability and professional indemnity insurance;

  • Assessing the safety, suitability, and scope of their service;

  • Obtaining necessary informed consent;

  • Managing their own bookings, venue arrangements, and cancellations;

  • Direct communication with participants regarding health disclosures or session requirements;

  • Ensuring a safe, hygienic, and accessible environment; and

  • Complying with all applicable Australian laws and professional obligations.

Carers Month and HCCC do not employ, supervise, or direct the providers listed on this website, and do not act as their agent or service provider.

3. Your Own Enquiries & Due Diligence We encourage you to read the information provided for each listing and exercise your own judgment before participating, just as you would with any independent service.

Before booking, you are strongly advised to ask the provider directly about:

  • Their qualifications, professional background, and insurance;

  • The precise nature of the session or activity;

  • Any physical, emotional, or psychological considerations;

  • Venue accessibility, facilities, or physical requirements; and

  • Any preparation required for your session.

Health & Medical Disclosures: Neither Carers Month nor HCCC provides medical, health, or psychological advice. If you have pre-existing medical conditions, mental health considerations, injuries, mobility restrictions, or allergies, please discuss these directly with the practitioner prior to booking.

4. Self-Care & Your Boundaries Your comfort and wellbeing are paramount. During any 1:1 session, you are always in complete control. You have full permission to speak up, request adjustments, or stop a session or activity at any time if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

5. No Guarantee or Endorsement Carers Month provides directory listings solely to help unpaid carers discover community opportunities. Inclusion on Carers Month does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, accreditation, or guarantee of any provider, service, venue, or outcome.

Carers Month and HCCC do not supervise or control how an offering is delivered and cannot guarantee its suitability, safety, or availability.

6. If Something Changes Providers are responsible for keeping their listings, contact details, and availability current. If a session needs to be rescheduled, or if an offering becomes unavailable, please communicate directly with the provider using the contact details in their listing.

By using this website, contacting a provider, or booking an offering, you acknowledge and agree to the full Carers Month Website Terms & Conditions.

Before You Book: Group Experiences & Offers

Carers Month is a community-led initiative hosted by The Healers Community Care Collective (HCCC). We host an unverified directory platform allowing independent facilitators, practitioners, venues, and local businesses to gift group experiences, workshops, dining opportunities, products, and community offers to unpaid carers during October 2026.

Carers Month and HCCC do not organize, host, manage, supervise, or deliver these group sessions, dining offers, or community events. Each experience is provided independently by the facilitator, venue, or business identified in the listing.

1. Attendance & Booking Guidelines Unlike individual 1:1 sessions (which are strictly limited to one per carer), you are welcome to attend multiple group experiences, workshops, and community offers throughout October, subject to venue capacity and availability.

  • Direct Bookings: RSVPs, ticket registrations, and inquiries are managed directly by the independent facilitator or host business.

  • Commitment to Attend: Group spaces are limited and provided voluntarily by facilitators. If you can no longer attend, please notify the facilitator as early as possible so your space can be offered to another carer.

  • Punctuality: Please arrive a few minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Facilitators reserve the right to deny late entry to minimize disruption to group environments.

2. Independent Facilitators & Hosts All facilitators, presenters, venues, and businesses listed in this directory operate as independent providers. Bookings and attendance arrangements are made directly with them.

The independent provider is solely responsible for:

  • Managing venue selection, health and safety, fire safety, and physical accessibility;

  • Holding valid Public Liability Insurance covering group activities or public dining;

  • Assessing physical, emotional, or environmental risks associated with the activity;

  • Clearly disclosing equipment requirements, dress codes, or physical intensity levels;

  • Managing group sizes, registration lists, and cancellations; and

  • Complying with all relevant statutory, health, and consumer laws.

Carers Month, HCCC, and its group organizers do not employ, supervise, or direct group hosts, nor do we attend or oversee group events.

3. Food, Dining & Allergy Disclosures Where a group experience or community offer involves food, beverages, catering, or dining:

  • Allergens & Dietary Needs: You are solely responsible for communicating any food allergies, intolerances, or dietary restrictions directly to the venue or host prior to attending or consuming food.

  • Host Responsibility: Food preparation, storage, food safety compliance, and allergen management are the exclusive legal responsibility of the venue or hospitality business.

4. Group Safety, Respect & Environment Group settings bring together diverse community members. To ensure a welcoming and safe environment for everyone:

  • Respect & Conduct: Participants are expected to interact respectfully and courteously with facilitators, venue staff, and fellow carers. Harassment, disruptive behavior, or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.

  • Third-Party Conduct: HCCC does not control or supervise the behavior, actions, or statements of other attendees at group events and accepts no liability for third-party conduct.

  • Personal Boundaries: You are always in control of your own participation. You have the right to step out, pause, or withdraw from any group activity or exercise at any time.

5. Health, Accessibility & Due Diligence We encourage you to review event details carefully before registering:

  • Health Disclosures: If an experience involves physical movement, sound therapy, breathwork, or outdoor activities, please consult your medical practitioner and inform the facilitator of pre-existing health conditions or mobility requirements.

  • Accessibility: Please check venue access, parking, and facility layout directly with the host prior to attending.

6. No Endorsement & Disclaimer Inclusion of a group event, workshop, dining offer, or product on Carers Month does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or safety guarantee by HCCC.

By viewing, registering for, or attending any group experience or offer listed on this website, you acknowledge and agree to the full Carers Month Website Terms & Conditions.
