GROUP FACILITATORS
Offer a Free Group Experience
Have Something Wonderful to Share?
Would you like to offer something special to unpaid carers this October?
Carers Month is looking for practitioners, facilitators, artists, teachers, comedians and presenters from around the world who would like to offer a free group experience to unpaid carers during October.
It could be something creative, relaxing, educational, inspiring, spiritual or simply fun.
You choose what you offer, how many sessions you provide, when you offer them and where you hold them.
You provide the experience in your own time and from a space that works for you. Carers Month simply provides the platform to help carers discover what's available.
What Could You Offer?
We're open to a diverse range of group experiences, including:
Yoga · Pilates · Gentle movement · Meditation · Mindfulness · Breathwork · Sound baths · Art · Arts and crafts · Painting · Drawing · Nature connection · Bush and native herb experiences · Gardening · Dance · Music · Singing · Journaling · Creative writing · Crystal experiences · Spiritual practices · Personal development · Relaxation · Wellbeing activities · Workshops · Comedy experiences · and other creative, meaningful or fun group activities.
We're also open to experiences that don't fit neatly into a category.
If you have something wonderful to share, we'd love to hear about it.
What Makes a Great Group Experience?
We're looking for experiences that give carers an opportunity to participate, connect, explore something new and enjoy themselves.
Your experience might be:
- Calming and restorative
- Creative and hands-on
- Educational or skill-based
- Active and movement-based
- Nature-focused
- Spiritual or reflective
- Social and connection-focused
- Simply something fun and enjoyable
We're particularly interested in experiences that are welcoming and accessible to people with different abilities, interests and levels of experience.
You Choose What You Can Offer
There is no minimum number of sessions you need to provide.
You might offer:
- One group experience during October
- Two or three sessions
- A weekly experience
- Several sessions on a particular weekend
- An online group experience
- Another arrangement that works for you
You choose the date, time, duration, format and number of participants that you are comfortable with.
Group experiences will generally be around 60 minutes, but longer or shorter experiences are welcome depending on the activity.
Where Can I Hold My Experience?
You arrange and provide your own space.
This could be:
- Your own studio or practice
- Your home-based business
- A community or hired space you arrange
- An outdoor or nature-based location
- An appropriate business or creative space
- Online
You are responsible for ensuring that your chosen space is appropriate and suitable for the experience you are providing.
If your experience requires particular equipment, facilities, accessibility considerations or environmental conditions, please include this information when you register so we can provide accurate information to carers.
How It Works
It's simple:
1. Decide what you'd like to offer
Choose your experience, duration, number of participants and the dates and times that work for you.
2. Complete the Group Experience Registration Form
Tell us about yourself, your experience and what you'd like to offer.
3. We'll create your profile
Once your registration has been reviewed and approved, we'll add your profile and group experience to the Carers Month website.
4. We'll promote Carers Month
We'll promote the website through our social media and community networks so unpaid carers can discover the experiences available throughout October.
5. Carers contact you directly
Carers will use the booking or contact information on your profile to enquire or book directly with you.
Bookings Are Directly With You
You manage your own bookings.
Carers Month does not take bookings, collect payments or manage your participant list.
You remain responsible for communicating with participants, confirming bookings, providing joining information and managing your group experience.
This means the arrangement is essentially the same as someone contacting you directly to participate in an experience you provide, Carers Month simply provides the platform that helps connect you with unpaid carers.
Your Group Experience Profile
We'll use the information you provide to create your Carers Month profile.
Your listing can include:
- Your name and organisation/business
- Your location
- Your website and/or social media
- Your background and experience
- The type of group experience you're offering
- A description of the experience
- Duration
- Date and time
- Number of places
- Accessibility information
- Any requirements participants should know about
- Your booking or contact details
This gives carers the information they need to decide whether your experience is right for them.
Registration & Requirements
To participate, you'll need to complete our Group Experience Registration Form.
Depending on the type of experience you're offering, you may be asked to provide information about your:
- Qualifications or accreditation
- Professional experience
- Relevant registrations or memberships
- Professional or public liability insurance
- Venue or space
- Accessibility considerations
- Any requirements or risks associated with the activity
Where qualifications, accreditation or insurance are appropriate or required for the activity you're providing, you are responsible for holding and maintaining these.
No Charge to Carers
All Carers Month group experiences must be offered completely free of charge to carers.
There should be no expectation that participants make a donation, purchase something or book another service.
No Sales Pitches
Carers Month is a community initiative created specifically for unpaid carers.
You're welcome to provide your business or contact details so participants can choose to find you again in the future, but we ask that there are no sales pitches, pressure to purchase services or expectation that carers book with you again.

- Create the Carers Month website
- List participating facilitators and their free October experiences

We do not provide, supervise or manage the group experiences.
Important Disclaimer
All facilitators listed on the Carers Month website are independent providers.
Carers Month does not provide or supervise their group experiences and does not accept responsibility for the facilitator, venue, activity, group environment, advice, interaction or outcome.
Facilitators are responsible for their own qualifications, insurance, venues, bookings, participants and experiences.
Carers are encouraged to review the information provided, make their own enquiries and consider whether a particular facilitator or group experience is appropriate for them before booking.

Adults Only
Carers Month group experiences are for adult unpaid carers.
Facilitators should clearly identify any accessibility, mobility, sensory, physical, environmental or other requirements associated with their experience so carers can make an informed decision before booking.
Ready to Share Your Experience?
Whether you'd like to offer a meditation, creative workshop, Pilates class, nature experience, sound bath, dance session, educational workshop, spiritual experience or something completely different, we'd love to hear from you.
Choose what you can give. Offer it in your own time. And help create an opportunity for an unpaid carer to step away from their usual responsibilities and experience something for themselves.
