GROUP FACILITATORS
Group Wellbeing Sessions & Experiences
Have Something Wonderful to Share?
We’re looking for practitioners, facilitators, artists, educators and presenters who can offer engaging, interactive and meaningful group experiences for unpaid carers during October.
We’re open to a wide range of ideas - if you have something creative, relaxing, fun, inspiring or meaningful to share with carers, we’d love to hear from you.
All group sessions and experiences must be offered free of charge to carers, and we ask that facilitators have the appropriate qualifications, experience, accreditation and insurance for the activity they are providing.
What Could You Offer?
We’re interested in a diverse range of group experiences, including:
Yoga, Pilates and gentle movement · Meditation and mindfulness · Breathwork · Sound baths and sound experiences · Art and creative workshops · Arts and crafts · Painting and drawing · Nature connection · Bush and native herb experiences · Gardening · Dance and movement · Music and singing · Journaling and creative writing · Crystal experiences · Spiritual practices · Personal development · Relaxation and wellbeing activities · Workshops and educational experiences · and other fun, creative or inspiring group activities.
We're also open to experiences that don't fit neatly into a category. If you have something wonderful to share, tell us about it.
We’re Looking for Interactive Experiences
The aim is to create opportunities for carers to participate, connect, explore something new and enjoy themselves together.
We’re particularly interested in experiences that are welcoming and accessible to people with different abilities, interests and levels of experience.
Your session might be something calming and restorative, something creative and hands-on, something educational, or simply something fun that gives carers a chance to laugh, connect and enjoy themselves.
How Long Are Sessions?
Group sessions will generally be around 60 minutes, although this may vary depending on the activity and event program.
We’ll work with you to determine the most suitable length and format for your experience.
When Are Events Happening?
Our confirmed event dates are:
Selby / Tecoma, Victoria: Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 October 2026
Southern Tasmania – Kingston Beach: Sunday 18 October 2026
Northern Tasmania: Sunday 18 October 2026
Mornington Peninsula, Victoria: Sunday 25 October 2026
Group programs will vary between locations, and group experiences may be scheduled throughout the day, depending on the event program and venue.
We’ll work with you to find a time that suits your experience and availability. You don't necessarily need to commit to a full day — you can offer one session or multiple sessions, depending on what works for you.
Specific session times and program details will be confirmed with each facilitator as the program develops.
Where Will Sessions Take Place?
Group experiences will be held at our participating event venues across Victoria and Tasmania.
Each venue is different, so the available space, facilities and environment will vary between locations.
Some venues may have indoor spaces, while others may offer opportunities for outdoor or nature-based experiences.
If your activity requires particular equipment, space, facilities or an outdoor setting, please let us know when you register so we can determine which locations may be suitable.
Centralised Bookings
Carers will book group sessions through our Humanitix booking system.
You won't need to create your own booking system or manage individual bookings.
We'll collect the information about your session through the registration process and use it to create the event listing and provide carers with the information they need.
Registration & Requirements
To participate, you'll need to complete our Group Facilitator Registration Form.
The form will collect the information we need to:
-
Confirm your participation
-
Collect your facilitator profile information for the website
-
Describe your group experience
-
Record the requirements for your activity
-
Confirm your availability
-
Collect your relevant qualifications, accreditation or experience
-
Collect a copy of your current professional insurance, where applicable
-
Provide information to carers
-
Help us determine which venues are suitable for your experience
Where your activity requires professional qualifications, accreditation or insurance, appropriate evidence will be required.
Your Profile on the Website
We’ll use the information you provide to create your Carers Month facilitator profile.
This gives carers an opportunity to find out who you are, learn about your experience and understand what you’ll be offering during Carers Month.
No Sales Pitches
Carers Month is completely free for carers.
We ask all participating facilitators to respect that this is a community initiative created specifically for carers, rather than an opportunity to promote or sell services.
You’re welcome to provide information about yourself or your business so carers can choose to contact you afterwards, but there should be no sales pitches, pressure to purchase services or expectation that carers book with you again.
No Charge to Carers
All Carers Month group sessions and experiences are completely free for carers.
We don't ask carers for donations or payments to participate, and facilitators should not request payment from carers for their Carers Month experience.
What We Ask From You
We’re asking facilitators to:
-
Provide their group experience free of charge
-
Hold appropriate qualifications, accreditation or experience for the activity they are providing
-
Have appropriate professional insurance where required
-
Complete the facilitator registration form
-
Provide evidence of relevant qualifications, accreditation and insurance where applicable
-
Arrive on time and be prepared for their session
-
Bring any equipment or resources they have agreed to provide
-
Respect the venue, other facilitators and participants
-
Create an inclusive and welcoming environment
-
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
-
Avoid sales pitches or pressure to purchase further services
-
Let us know as soon as possible if they can no longer attend
-
If you are unable to attend a session that carers have booked, please honour that commitment by arranging an alternative free experience or suitable alternative with the affected carers where possible.
What We’ll Do
We’ll coordinate the central booking system, promote your experience through the Carers Month website, provide information to carers and coordinate the event program.
We'll also work with you to understand what you need from the venue and where possible help match your experience with a suitable space.
Adults Only
Carers Month events are for adult unpaid carers.
Please let us know if your activity has any particular accessibility, mobility, sensory, physical or other requirements so we can provide appropriate information to carers when they book.
Thank You
Thank you for being willing to share your time, skills and creativity with carers.
Whether you're offering a meditation, a creative workshop, a nature experience, a music session, something spiritual, something completely different or simply something fun, you’re helping create a day where carers can step away from their usual responsibilities and experience something for themselves.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone helping us make that possible.
