We’re looking for presenters, entertainers, performers and facilitators who can bring some fun, inspiration, laughter, connection or something a little different to Carers Month.
We want to create experiences where carers can sit back and enjoy themselves, discover something new, be inspired, have a laugh or simply enjoy being part of a community.
Who Are We Looking For?
We’re open to a wide range of presenters and performers, including:
Comedians · Inspirational speakers · Motivational speakers · Mediums · Psychic demonstrators · Spiritual presenters · Musicians · Bands · Singers · Acoustic performers · Dancers · Storytellers · Poets · Authors · Magicians · Improv and theatre performers · Cultural performers · Interactive entertainers · Quiz and game hosts · Variety performers · and other people with something interesting, entertaining or inspiring to share.
You might have a story that could inspire others, a skill that would fascinate a room full of people, an entertaining performance, or an interactive experience that gets everyone involved.
If you have something that could bring some joy, laughter, inspiration or connection to carers, we'd love to hear from you.
What Could You Offer?
We're interested in experiences that work well for a group and can be enjoyed in a community setting.
This could be:

We’re particularly interested in experiences that are engaging, welcoming and enjoyable for a diverse group of adult carers.
Where Will You Be Presenting?
We’re currently looking for presenters and entertainers for our Selby event in Victoria and Kingston Beach event in Tasmania.
The spaces and facilities will vary between the two locations, so please tell us about your requirements when you register. This might include a performance or presentation area, seating, tables, access to power, sound equipment, outdoor space or other specific needs.
When Will Presentations Take Place?
Selby, Victoria: Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 October 2026
Kingston Beach, Tasmania: Sunday 18 October 2026
Presentations and entertainment may take place throughout the day, depending on the individual event program.
We’ll work with you to determine a suitable time, duration and format for your presentation or performance.
You don't necessarily need to commit to a full day. You might offer one performance, a short presentation, a demonstration or multiple sessions, depending on what works for you and the event.
Centralised Bookings
Where your presentation or experience requires bookings, it will be included in the Carers Month Humanitix booking system.
We’ll collect the information we need about your presentation through the registration process and provide carers with the relevant details.
Registration
You'll need to complete our Presenter & Entertainer Registration Form so we can learn more about you and what you're offering.
We'll use the information you provide to:

Confirm your participation

Create your profile on the Carers Month website

Describe your presentation or performance

Understand your technical and venue requirements
-
Confirm your availability
-
Provide information to carers
-
Include your presentation in the event program and booking system where appropriate

Collect your relevant qualifications or accreditation details

Collect a copy of your current public liability or professional insurance
Appropriate insurance is required to participate. You’ll need to provide evidence of current insurance that covers the presentation, performance, activity or service you are offering.
Where your particular activity requires qualifications, accreditation, registrations or other professional requirements, you’ll also need to provide the relevant details or evidence.
No Sales Pitches
Carers Month is being created specifically for carers.
We ask presenters and entertainers to respect that this is not a commercial event or opportunity to sell services.
You're welcome to provide your contact details, website, business cards or other information so carers can find you afterwards if they wish, but there should be no sales pitches, pressure to purchase or expectation that carers book with you.
No Charge to Carers
All Carers Month presentations, demonstrations and entertainment are free for carers.
We're asking you to generously contribute your time and skills to help create something special for the people we're celebrating.
What We Ask From You
We’re asking presenters and entertainers to:

Offer their presentation, performance or experience free of charge

Provide accurate information about their experience and professional background

Complete the registration form

Provide any relevant qualifications, accreditation or insurance where required

Arrive on time and be prepared for their presentation or performance

Bring any agreed equipment or resources

Let us know about technical or venue requirements in advance

Respect the venue, other presenters and participants
-
Create a welcoming and inclusive environment

Avoid sales pitches or pressure to purchase further services

Let us know as soon as possible if they can no longer attend

If carers have booked a specific session with you and you are unable to attend, please honour that commitment by arranging an alternative free experience with the affected carers where possible.
Adults Only
Carers Month events are for adult unpaid carers.
Please let us know about any content, accessibility, sensory or other considerations that carers should be aware of when booking.

Carers spend so much of their time giving to others.
We want to give them opportunities to laugh, be entertained, discover something new, feel inspired and simply enjoy themselves.
