FOR CARERS

This month is for YOU.

An opportunity to pause, connect, experience something new and simply take some time for yourself.

Free wellbeing experiences for unpaid carers throughout October 2026.

Who Can Participate?

Carers Month is for unpaid carers who provide ongoing care, support or assistance to a family member, partner, friend or loved one. You don't need to have a formal carer designation or be registered with an organisation to participate. Whether you've been caring for someone for many years, your caring role is relatively new, or you simply identify as someone who provides unpaid care, you're welcome.

You don't have to do it alone.

This is an opportunity to meet other carers, try something different and spend some time doing something for you.

What Can You Expect?

Each Carers Month location will have its own unique program, so what’s available will vary from place to place.

Our main Selby / Tecoma event may feature a particularly diverse range of experiences, with potential opportunities to enjoy wellbeing sessions, group experiences, arts and crafts, entertainment, inspirational presenters, creative activities, spiritual experiences, connection and more.

Other locations may focus more specifically on one-to-one wellbeing sessions and group experiences, while some will offer a broader range of activities and presenters.

We’re continuing to build the program and are inviting practitioners, facilitators, presenters, entertainers and community members to contribute, so we can create the richest and most diverse experience possible for carers.

What’s available near you?

Once each location is finalised, you’ll be able to visit its individual event page to see exactly what’s on, who is participating and what experiences are available.

Program details will be added as they are confirmed.

Individual wellbeing sessions

Free one-to-one sessions with participating practitioners.

Group experiences

Relaxation, meditation, movement, sound, energy work and other wellbeing experiences.

Creative & nature experiences

Opportunities to create, explore, get outdoors or simply enjoy something different.

Talks & entertainment

Inspirational speakers, musicians, comedians, performers, mediums, psychics and other engaging presenters.

Connection & community

A chance to meet other carers, have a cuppa, chat and spend time with people who understand.

Something just for you

You might discover something completely new, have a laugh, learn something, relax or simply enjoy being part of a welcoming community.

Completely free for carers

Every experience offered through Carers Month is being provided free of charge to unpaid carers. Our practitioners, presenters, facilitators and volunteers are donating their time, skills and energy because they want to give something back to carers. You won't be expected to purchase anything, book another service or participate in anything you're not comfortable with.

Come along. Try something new. Have a cuppa. Connect with others. Or simply enjoy some time for yourself.
