SPONSORS AND SUPPORTERS

Help Us Create Something Special for Carers

Carers Month 2026

A volunteer-led community initiative supporting unpaid carers across Victoria and Tasmania.

Bringing these events to life takes more than practitioners and volunteers. We also need the practical support that helps us create beautiful, welcoming spaces where carers can relax, connect and enjoy the day.

We’re looking for monetary sponsorships and donations to help cover the many costs involved, including venue hire, event and organisational expenses, refreshments, morning tea and afternoon tea, decorations, outdoor furniture, equipment, printing, resources and other things that help make the events feel special.

We’re also incredibly grateful for in-kind donations and support. This might include providing food and refreshments, lending or donating furniture and equipment, supplying decorations or event resources, or offering products and services that can help us create welcoming spaces for carers.

Perhaps you have skills that could help us behind the scenes. We’d love support with designing, sourcing, event organisation, logistics, decorating, setting up or managing different aspects of the events.

Whether you’re a local business, community organisation, individual or supporter who can contribute financially, donate something we need, offer a service or simply help us find and source what’s required, we’d love to hear from you.

Every contribution helps us put more into the experience for carers and create events that feel generous, welcoming and genuinely made for them.

We’re also pleased to recognise the businesses and organisations that help make Carers Month possible. Businesses who provide financial or meaningful in-kind support will be acknowledged as supporters on the Carers Month website, with the opportunity to include your business name, logo and a link to your website.

It’s our way of saying thank you for helping us create something special for carers and for being part of a community that believes in supporting community.

How Financial Support Works

As an informal, volunteer-led community group, we don’t accept financial donations into personal accounts.

Instead, if you would like to contribute financially, we’ll work with you to identify a specific event need that you would like to support. This might be contributing towards venue hire, refreshments, morning tea or afternoon tea, outdoor furniture, decorations, printing, equipment or other event costs.

Where possible, we can arrange for you to pay the supplier or venue directly, so you can see exactly what your contribution is supporting.

This also means that we’re not asking businesses or individuals to simply hand money over, we can work together to identify something practical that will directly benefit carers and the events.

As Carers Month is a volunteer-led community initiative rather than a registered charity, financial contributions are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

Businesses and organisations that provide financial or meaningful in-kind support will be acknowledged as Carers Month supporters on our website, with the opportunity to include your business name, logo and website link.

If you'd like to help, get in touch and let us know what you'd like to contribute. We'll work with you from there.

Can I make a financial contribution?

Yes. We welcome financial support towards specific Carers Month costs. Rather than accepting money into personal accounts, we’ll work with you to identify an event expense you can contribute towards, and where possible, you can pay the venue or supplier directly.

What can I help pay for?

There are many ways to help, including venue hire, morning and afternoon tea, refreshments, outdoor furniture, decorations, printing, equipment, event resources and other practical event costs.

Can I donate goods or services instead?

Absolutely. We welcome in-kind support such as food and refreshments, furniture, equipment, printing, design, decorating, event services and other practical contributions.

Is my contribution tax deductible?

No. Carers Month is a volunteer-led community initiative and is not a registered charity, so contributions are not tax-deductible charitable donations.

Will my business be recognised for its support?

Yes. Businesses and organisations providing financial or meaningful in-kind support can be acknowledged as Carers Month supporters on our website, including your business name, logo and website link.

Can I choose what my contribution supports?

Absolutely. We’re happy to discuss the specific needs of each event and find something that aligns with what you’d like to support.
